Finale from “Sonata of the sea” by M.K. Čiurlionis is a painting I use to stare with excitement and fear when I was a child. I would picture myself being in one of those boats until I’d be too scared to look, yet I would always return to check it out again with the same excitement you have before a scary ride.

So I went to Kerkrade in Netherlands for a recital a few week ago. Was a nice Saturday when I got off the train in Herzogenrath which is basically the same city but on German side.
